The Sienzo team have been working with software development and digital processing in several research companies, whilst playing in a number of bands. During this period, they discovered that a modified version of their research could be used to build a high quality music transcription engine - the Digital Music Mentor.

Martin Almers spearheads the company's advanced technology initiatives. Martin's latest employment was at Cellavision where he worked with research and system development. He is the co-inventor of a number of patents on proprietary technologies that they utilizes in their products. He has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with focus on signal processing and has more than a few wicked solos up his sleeve.
